Technology and Patient Comforts

Modern Dental Care for Extraordinary Smiles

We think a visit to the dentist should be a pleasant experience. That's why we've created a safe haven where you can relax and receive the quality care you deserve. Our dentists stay current with technology and techniques to bring you the best of modern dentistry. You'll like our paperless, state-of-the-art office and friendly staff. We're here to serve your family and deliver lasting smiles.

Educational Tools

At West Pasco Family Dental, we want you to be an informed partner in your dental care. We'll always explain treatment, and we'll work with your budget and schedule. During your exam, your dentist will photograph your teeth with an intraoral camera and display the pictures on a chairside monitor. These images illustrate your oral health and are a useful tool to determine which therapies to pursue. More information about treatment options is available in our CAESY Patient Education System videos. Additionally, your dentist may create a preview of your proposed new smile with our digital imaging software or a wax up, which is a physical model of your smile.

Modern Diagnostics

We'll take X-rays of your smile during your checkup or new patient exam. Our digital X-ray machine emits about 80% less radiation than traditional radiography. The images are immediately available for viewing on chairside monitors and can be electronically transmitted to specialists and insurance companies. A high-tech machine called a Panorex will provide a two-dimensional panoramic view of all of your teeth and supporting structures for fast, efficient diagnoses.

Your dentist will scan your teeth for decay using a non-invasive DIAGNOdent laser. This high-tech tool identifies soft spots on the teeth, called demineralization, which are precursors to cavities. Early detection means rapid treatment to conservatively restore your tooth and protect it from further damage.

Sedation Dentistry

Does going to the dentist cause you stress or anxiety? You're not alone. Many people have dental phobia. Our dentists understand and use oral conscious sedation to calm nerves and promote a peaceful experience.

Sedation dentistry patients simply take a sedative prior to treatment. This promotes a state of greater relaxation in a dental environment.. Our dentists may administer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to enhance the sedative's effects. We'll then perform your dental work, potentially reversing years of damage or neglect in a single visit. Following treatment, patients have little or no memory of their procedures.
